The story of modern computing began with mainframes and dumb terminals and ends (but not really) with PCs acting a bit like those terminals (with the real computing happening in the cloud). Now, thanks to the combination of the cloud and the web, the story continues with Microsoft Windows 365, built on Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop, which streamlines virtualization and works across any device—even a Chromebook, iPad, or Android phone. It's interesting how much the future resembles the past, while innovating on today's technology.
